Great Western Air Ambulance Charity (GWAAC)

GWAAC is a critical care and air ambulance service covering Bristol, Gloucestershire, Bath and North East Somerset, and beyond.

Their highly trained and experienced Critical Care Doctors, Advanced Practitioners and Specialist Paramedics in Critical Care, bring the skill and expertise of a hospital emergency department to the patient.

They provide rapid, specialist care to people having their worst day; often reaching patients when seconds truly matter. For motorcyclists, their crews are a vital line of help after a serious life-threatening crash.

Their teams bring the skills, equipment, and calm needed in the hardest moments.

GWAAC needs to raise over £4 million a year in order to remain operational yet receives no day-to-day funding from the Government or National Lottery. They rely on donations, support, and community backing to keep their helicopter flying and their crews ready.

For riders in the area, they provide expert care; quietly, professionally, and without judgement.

This listing is shared in recognition of the lifesaving work they do and the riders they continue to help.

You can donate directly to them here.
